3Apr2025 BOFAS Minimally Invasive Surgery Course 03/04/2025 - 04/04/2025 Read more BOFAS Minimally Invasive Surgery Course Course Venue - Keele Anatomy and Surgical Training Centre, Keele University Staffordshire. This first BOFAS principles course has been designed as a collaborative project of the Education Committee of the Society with the help of expert surgeons experienced in percutaneous surgery. It is designed to teach high level percutaneous surgery, with a strong focus on hands on cadaveric lab exposure with 70% of the course time spent in the lab, one cadaveric specimen per delegate and a delegate to faculty ratio of 2:1 to allow for good, supervised instruction. The course fee is heavily subsidised by Industry, includes 2 nights’ accommodation at Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, Keele, plus a course dinner at Keele Hall, Keele University, and as such is one of the best value independent cadaveric courses in the field. Following the ethos of all BOFAS instructional courses, the course will be conducted in an informal and interactive environment, to facilitate good discussions with faculty throughout the event. Event date: 23/01/2025 - 24/01/2025 Export event Karan Malhotra / 17 November 2024 / Categories: Non Supported Courses Ankle Arthroplasty - State of the Art 23rd - 24th Jan 2025, University of Barcelona This 2-day cadaver course held at the University of Barcelona is aimed at senior trainees and foot and ankle fellows and surgeons wishing to increase their exposure to ankle replacement surgery. The course will focus on the principles of ankle arthroplasty and case selection on the first day, with experienced ankle arthroplasty surgeons teaching the delegates on cadavers the different designs of contemporary ankle replacements. Case based discussions on management of complications after ankle arthroplasty and revision options will also take place. The second day of the course is concentrated on hindfoot fusion surgery, both tibiotalar and tibiotalocalcaneal fusions. Cadaver lab sessions will enable delegates practising on ankle fusion plates and hindfoot fusion nailing techniques.
